A Picture Says a Thousand Words

Isaac Oduro is a JVS member and volunteers on JVS runs, bringing food and clothes to help out.

At our 2023 AGM in September, we thanked our wonderful members with a meal. Anawim Companion Society’s manager, Terri Edison Brown and his wife Kris are pictured here. Anawim provides space for the Justice Van Society’s street mission!

Frank Woods, JVS President, receives a box of donated protein bars from our new volunteer, Isaac Oduro.
Isaac is quite involved in a ministry called Second Harvest, in which he picks up food from businesses in town and and distributes them to seniors' centres, the working poor, etc. Isaac says that sometimes he receives more food than he can distribute. On this day, we didn't have enough sandwiches (one of the busiest days ever, Frank reckoned). Isaac happened to have protein bars in his van, which he donated! They were much appreciated by the street community!

Beautiful people who benefit from the Justice Van Society's work:

A friend from the street community was delighted when a JVS board member donated a bike to him:

January 2023: We are so grateful to Khalsa Aid, who have made several donations of equipment such as sleeping bags and tents to the JVS. They dropped by our office in with 15 sleeping bags and 15 tents. Blessings!

Christmas 2022: A great night filling Christmas bags, with time to enjoy some holiday baking! Left to right: Su-Hui Lyne, Linnette Walker, Caryl Buchanan

Our annual general meeting in October 2022: Successful and fun!
